BRIGHTHAMMER pocketmod updates

Howdy everyone!

After finally getting the playtest rules for Cardhammer – my card-based tabletop wargame inspired by Warhammer Fantasy and Warmaster – finished, I've turned my attentions back to Brighthammer. I still have lots of ideas for my rules light, high fantasy roleplaying game, and one of those has been to clean up the itch page a bit.

While I think it's useful to provide pocketmod, single page, and spread versions of Brighthammer in both A4 and letter size, it somewhat confusing. It would only get more confusing seeing as how I have both a d20 and a 2d10 PbtA-esque version of the game in development. I don't want to have a ridiculous eighteen files listed on the itch page.

So, I've decided to only provide pocketmod formats. Each PDF file is three pages – the Player Handbook, the GM Guide, and the Bestiary. Just grab either the A4 or letter size file depending on what sized paper your printer takes. I've tried to get them as small as possible without compressing the images too much, but 3mb seems to be the best I can do.

Hopefully this change makes it easier, and less intimidating, to navigate the page.

Great to see that this will get developed further! And both d20/2d10-PbtA sound right up my alley.

Just thought to chime in and say that it is pretty difficult to read pocketmods on screen, though, whether on my laptop or my phone. Have to do lots of rotating, either of my head or the screen.

Thanks very much for the feedback. People reading this on a screen is initially why I included the booklets as single page PDFs. As I want these to be as accessible as possible, I'll upload single page versions again.

Thank you! Hope it's not too much trouble!

I came back here to redownload some versions that I misdownloaded and would like to second adding some different versions. The Pocketmods are great but the "Pages Screen" version was great for putting on a cellphone.

I think pulling out your phone and some scrap paper for an impromptu game is a great use case for Brighthammer.

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment AND for reminding me I need to make the single page PDFs available.

My PDF tracking tool thanks you. Also, it's really cool that these are all as simple as single page PDFs.

Thanks! I should have done it sooner, but condensing the booklets into a single PDF is just a lot easier to manage.
